someone recently posted asking for any positive outcomes in the search for a mortgage.
began reading this site in early last year when searching for our first mortgage. its been along road as I have a ccj for £200 from 2005 which was paid almost immediately
we found a house that needed work, nationwide said it wasnt even worth putting an application in as it would be declined due to the ccj.and no high street bank/building society would touch us.
we tried nat west who declined us on the credit check.
we then got ourselves a fabulous whole of market advisor who got us an aip from abbey but we pulled out of the sale after survey showed ongoing structural movement ,
we found another house, waited with baited breath for the mortgage offer which came through in 2 weeks and today we have exchanged due to complete in march.
I think I will only relax once we have the keys, but it shows not all is lost if one or even 2 places say no..
