My daughter wants to earn some money and came across this idea but I'm not sure who's legit and who's not. She found one company http://www.datavacancies.org.
Does anyone know about this company or can recommend any legit ones?
Thanks.

Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.

Well, this didn't help settle my skepticism...
"A one-time registration of £25 is required to cover the costs of training materials and includes all processing and support costs. We ensure this once-only payment is as low as possible to encourage those who genuinely wish to work at home."0 -
Companies can get people in India to do this sort of work for a fraction of the cost, where there is a genuine need.
Data entry from home has been discussed many times on MSE, and everyone agrees that a company that wants money should be avoided. The bad English on this website is a giveaway too.
The ".org' extension is normally used only by charities i.e. non profit makers.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

That site has no privacy policy, and the terms of use permit them to phone/email/post adverts to you. There is very limited information seeing as you are putting up £25 up front.
Strongly recommend you avoid it.0 -
Dont do it, you pay for an advertisement you then advertise yourself to get money back, its a big scam!2016 Money challenge - £2900

You're looking for a job because you want to earn money, and NOT pay them.My daughter wants to earn some money and came across this idea but I'm not sure who's legit and who's not. She found one company http://www.datavacancies.org.

There are some legitimate sites where you could get jobs without paying anything and it's guaranteed cause I've tried it myself. Even if you search for these sites, you will see good reviews from different people across the world.
You might want to look at these sites:
https://www.elance.com
https://www.odesk.com
Signing up is free. However with elance, they have paid membership where they provide more benefits compared to those free membership accounts. These sites earn through commissions from you once you completed a job. The only hard thing about it is, competition with the third world countries because they do have lower rates. So you would also have to consider that factor.
But it's worth trying.
