Please can someone tell me what capitalising is. we are in arress with our mortgage £1800, now our mortages company are asking us to capitalise our mortgage and to add the arress to the loan! then we won't be in arress any more and this will stop the charges on our account, but we are not sure if this is a good thing to do. we are paying £750.00 per month and to clear the arress we also pay £120. per month total of £900.per month.

It means the debt is added to whatever is on your mortgage currently - this does mean you'll then be paying interest on that over the term of the mortgage0
