Ecoballs and soapnuts help please

  • Ecoballs are pretty much 'snake oil' and soap nuts I suspect aren't much better.

    Basically most laundry doesn't need a lot of soap - water and agitation are what does most of the cleaning.

    This is why users are finding that they don't work for heavy soiling. Also, there is a lot of residual dried soap in clothes and machines, which is why people get good results initially with ecoballs but find they gradually stop working.

    I use a half dose of economy soap powder and have no problems at all. For heavy soiling, I prewash with ordinary soap and a nailbrush.
