Grrr! CREDIT REPORT! GGRRRrrr!!!

I've just paid £6.99 to view my credit report for the first time in god knows how long, just coz I was pretty sure I had a default already with First Direct and just wanted to check if there was anything else...

so I shelled out the £6.99 much to the annoyance of my DFW Angel on my shoulder ... logged in, found all my credit accounts, there was about 10 or 12, one of which being the default.

But anyway, my two problems are:

I had two credit cards (HSBC & ABBEY) that I have cleared back in October 09. They are both still showing as approx. £2.5k balances. Why? I phoned HSBC and she kept going on about me having a Zero balance, YES I KNOW! BUT WHY IS IT STILL ON MY CREDIT REPORT!

Also, When i logged out to speak to HSBC, I logged back in afterward to check the exact amount and half of my credit accounts were gone?? just 4 were left - my mortgage, my defaulted account and two others. Both Credit cards are gone, my current account's gone, my loan which is still being paid off?

Where have they gone????
I have learnt from my in-debt days....never again!

You know you can et your statutory report for £2, with 3 agencies Experian, Equifax and CallCredit, that is £6 for all 3 reports.
Not all creditors report to all 3, sometimes they only use 1 or 2, (mainly Experian/Equifax)

Is the credit report not showing your available balance, rather than balance currently in use?

Missing accounts, do you mean they are now missing from your HSBC account page on the HSBC website, or are they now missing from the report.
Accounts are only missing from the report usually when the name and address does not match so ensure all address for last 6 years are on their.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
