I haven't read back giels - so hope everyone is OK!
I'm just watching back something I recorded from Create and Craft - don't tell DH he already thinks I'm a bit odd! It's Stamping with Clarity, but I've learned how to do smooth embossing at last. I've always been a bit bothered, especially with silhouettes when I emboss and it comes out bobbly. If you heat from underneath it comes out glassy - I am ridiculously pleased to learn this. Rusty - I think you mentioned this a while ago so I hope it really works!0 -

Sylphraven said this too me too. I have so many pots of embossing powder that i havent used. Because i was a tad scared of it :rotfl:. Sylphraven said the way to do it was to heat it from underneath. So once you have tried Glittermum can you let us know ?;)
xfurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
wanna b - the silhouettes are really easy just resize if necessary print and go - no need to even worry about dodgy colouring :rotfl: I've printed some of mine on DP as well just cut it to a size to fit my printer as it won't take 12x12
if you need any help give me a shout
If someone can tell me how to emboss without burning my thumb nail I'd be really grateful - think if I embossed from underneath I'd burn all the other fingers instead - think I have a right-handed heat gun :rotfl::rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Glittermum, mine is always bobbly, never tried again cause it always looked so rough ....so thanks for the tip, might have to try and drag some embossing powders out and see how I get on.
Padster you should see what I use for embossing  it looks similar to this .....
and yes I have been known to forget to change the temp after OH has used it and burn the paper aswell to the point it is about to flame :eek:Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

Thank you. If I'm lucky enough to get one of the stamps I'm going to have a go at making a card for my niece (she is fairy mad, but will be 13 this year, so is reluctant to admit to still liking Tink & co, so a silhouette one will probably be the perfect answer).

Blimey Rusty - if I had one of them I'd have a bald cat and no curtains :rotfl::rotfl: Can you imagine what that much burning cat fur would smell like
(no small and intensely irritating animals were harmed in the typing of this post)
:rotfl:
So long as you post the badge and email Stitch as she asks wanna b I'm sure you'll get your image - she does live out in the sticks in the US though and has been known to lose her electric and connection for 24 hours at a stretchOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi DTB
Sorry to hear about your back, my OH has pulled his again, so is suffering to at the moment. He's spent the last few nights sleeping on the lounge floor too!
The good thing is, he says it's not his sciatica back again, so something to be glad about.
Hello to you other lovely ladies too, hope you're all ok?

Good evening ladies. Not much done today as we've had new windows put in the two bedrooms. Wish we'd had them done when the house was renovated last year but we didn't know how bad they were until we'd moved in. At least the guys that have done the job were very respectful of our property - removed their shoes before they came in, brought brand new dust sheets and covere bed and furniture up (yet still some dirt got through) and have been very careful not to spoil the decorating which was only done 12 months ago. Very pleased with them and they're coming back tomorrow to fit a new door on the porch. So most of today I've been cleaning up, given the sun room a thorough clean now DS has finished the steps (I am dreading the floor being levelled but don't yet know when that will be) then cleaned up what needed to be done in the bedroom. So no crafting for me then.
Rusty I hope you've got on OK today now that your OH is back at work. Did you let the balloons off for grannybasher? What a lovely thought and nice for your children too. Good to hear the acupuncture worked well, I hope you have a lasting effect from it.
DTB Sorry to hear about your back. My goes very easily when I am doing the garden so I have to be careful. I know when to stop!
sweet baby cakes Belated happy birthday. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend.
ScattyJan That's a great price for PMs. I wish I lived near a Hobbycraft, I wouldn't mind just a few odd colours to add to my collection. Good news about the viewings. You must have a very desirable house and pitched the price just right.
melissa75 Wotcha got? It's always lovely to hear about new stash.
I'm off on a blog hop, will leave comments as I go.0
