    Hello all :j
Need a bit of help................MIL is 90 in June so I need to make a really nice card for her but nothing too difficult............it's only little old me doing it and I'm not as clever as you lot.............I'm totally stuck as to ideas that aren't the normal floral sort;)
What about a bookatrix card they look really special but are really simple to put together I have a couple upstairs left from the one I made not sure what colors could send to you if it was the sort of thing you were looking for.

OK - question from me. Does anyone know of an embossing folder that can be used in the Cuttlebug that has small hearts on it? I know they do one with bigger hearts in blocks but I have seen one on a card somewhere where it makes a background of small hearts. Anyone seen it?

Yep I got one it comes as part of a set not cheap though
    Its this one http://www.cuttingedgecrafts.co.uk/cart.php?target=product&product_id=20752&category_id=668
  • Thank you to all who have replied re: nesties. I think that the cuttlebug ones were only 2 inch but I am assuming that the nesties are bigger than that.
The Wife - Thanks for the link to that blog . Think I will be spending my time there a lot!
Wam73 - Like the site. Hope you dont think I'm being critical, the only thing I would say is use a different font for the words when you scroll down the page (the bit that says Hi my name is wendy....etc) The words do look a bit wobbly, perhaps something simple like ariel typeface? Also not too sure on the heading, I think it looks quite busy with all the typing behind wendyscraftshop.co.uk (maybe cos you have drop shadow on the web address? Perhaps you could try the web address at the top bigger with nothing behind it or somthing a bit simpler like a block of colour. Apart from that liked the fact that the search function was easily visable and postage costs. I also liked the slide show at the bottom. I dont know how difficult it would be but perhaps you could have a slideshow going along the top of the page showing the products as this would be immediately visable to potential customers. Anyways just my thoughts, please dont take it the wrong way, and congrats for getting it up and running!

Just had a sneaky at the wool wam could you maybe put the tension, the length per ball and recommended needle size in the blurb - I so hate it when you can't find out whether it will be ok for the pattern you want to use it for.

Forgot to say earlier that like the idea of having P&P on the front page :)
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Thanks for that Dragonllew. You're right, it's not cheap, especially as I'd only use the hearts background, not the rest of the stuff in the set. Oh well, I've managed without it until now, I could check out ebay I suppose!

Also, I'm not sure how you've worked out your postage, but at Up to £5 = £1, Up to £10 = £2.50 and Up to £15 = £3.20, if people are looking for the best deal on postage (which I think we all do) then if they want to spend £10 or £15 they will make up separate orders of £5 each if they can as it would be cheaper than the postage for one order, IYSWIM.

Ha ha. Glad the font is better. I see what you mean about postage. I am soo silly. Have put quite a lot of thought into this and still come up dumb lol will re assess. Thank you.
Would love to earn an extra £40 a Week. Trying to find ways to :-)

Wow ladies you sure can chat!

Just wanted to pop on for a big thank you to Dragonllew for my stash swap - especially the bottletops and purple butterflies! I may get to the PO tomorrow (but of course may not!).

I certainly know where to come if I ever set up a website! (mind you my day job is currently in Internet Banking so I should know myself!).

Thanks for the anniversary wishes - just came home to a lovely hand tied bouquet and a necklace from Folksy (amazing - men do listed sometimes!) We're off out for dinner tomorrow night and I might be really naughty and have takeaway tonight too!
