A quick heads up for anyone who buys the Creativity mag. The new issue has just been put on the website at Cutting Edge Crafts. Plenty in stock at the moment and there's a free CD rom with this issue, free p+p. I've just ordered mine and a cuttlebug folder slipped into the basket while I was there, I wonder how that happened :D.

Thankyou! Just ordered mine! Was fighting back the embossing folders aswell ... I won though so just the mag for me ;)

I love that stamp rusty, fab card. It is just the image of my older son that is.It would have been perfect for his birthday just gone. He had to make do with a mario one and i am not blogging it as it was so basic but i once again left it too late to do.

I have blogged some other bits though.

Thankyou :D Can you blog it so I could see? I would love to make some mario cards but completely lack inspiration! .... where did you get the images from? just google?

    Thanks Melissa :D

What about here isn't this closer to you? They have a paper mill shop. It really doesn't take long to get there.

Were naughty we prob spend longer in eatting and drinking than shopping lol
first stop thornstons having hot chocolates and chocolates, bit of shopping, then lunch in the food court, bit more shopping then a starbucks to go home on. Perfect day lol

louby when did you last visit? as last time I went there the papermill shop was about to close down? will be good if it's open again now though yay :j

weird, I went the last week in Feb and it had hardly any stock, what they did have was a bit rubbish TBH although they were selling stuff quite cheap. It's not listed on the Papermill shop's website though so that's why I thought it had closed down?

maybe it has gone then, as it was rubbish and i didn't get anything. It isn't on the main outlet page either but it is still on the map if you download that.

yeah I saw it was still on the outlet map which was why I thought maybe it had re-opened? was thinking the other day I need to get some more card soon so might phone one of the other shops and ask them if the mansfield one is still there! lol ;)
  • Afternoon. Just a quick visit as I have a pile of ironing with my name written on it, so no crafting for me:( I popped out to buy some Prima flowers this morning and somehow a mini sewing machine fell into my basket. It was an absolute bargain (I think) reduced to £5.99, so I'm hoping to be able to do some stitching on my cards. Also, for those of you who are looking for doillies, I managed to get some fabric coaster doillies in Poundland and I spotted they had larger paper ones in stock.

Rusty - I bought the Prima Papers from here to go with my new Blips & Beeps stamp set. Seriously tempted to buy more of the Prima paper sets though and the cosmo cricket earth love mini deck, but will wait for delivery to see what the papers are actually like.

Crafty Ju - loving your butterfly invites and well done on securing the order

    Tiredmom and Lyndach
    - the craft shop near where I live, stock Card Candy for £1 a pack. They currently only have the Mint Choc and Chocolate & Marshamllow in stock, but I'm happy to grab some and post it too you.

    Dragonlew
    - sorry your still in pain x

    Twinkle
    - I [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]sympathize with you over the parking issue and hope you get it sorted.

I've been blog hopping leaving comments as I go. I'm also stalking a couple more people.

  • Ooh Rusty loving the cogs! Were they easy to draw? I have some lovely silvery card from Papermill so may see if I can do some on OH's Mum's Craft Robo at the weekend...

Sorry Lei and Crafty JuJu, didn't make it to the Post Office today but your cards and stash swaps will be posted out first thing tomorrow.

That's okay I still need to sort your stash swap!

thanks for the advice Lei, I don't think I am seeing what other people are seeing though as the website looks quite small on my laptop and if I make it any smaller then I wont be able to read the buttons? I have my zoom set to 100% and am using 1440 x 900 resolution. do you mean it doesnt fit all on one page vertically or horizontally? I'm off to work soon so will see what it looks like there!

My screen resolution at work is set to maximum (1280 x 1024) and browser set to 100%. The width is absolutely fine even when I shrink the window down but the logo and buttons take up 3/4 of the screen height so I can just about see the tops of the photos. On my laptop I couldn't even see the photos!

Lei - Which ebay seller is it you use please and what is clear gloss?

I used this eBay seller http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Lardysticks-Larder and Anita's 3D Clear Gloss but you can also get Glossy Accents. You can coat anything and everything with it and it creates a lovely shiny coating over the top (almost plastic like) - great for sealing the gems so they don't fall off!
Its not fair :( just had a look to see where the nearest one is to me & its in Manchester, 40 miles away  I know for some thats not far but its prob be cheaper for me to have them deliver it....if they do!

JuJu you can order card from them online but you only get to chose five colours whereas in store you can obviously pick one of everything!

    http://papermilldirect.co.uk/pick-n-mix-product

I went not that long ago and did exactly that, so if you want a sample of the different purples I can pop them in the post to you?

Ooh where did you get the mini sewing machine from? Does it do zig zag stitches? I've wanted one for ages but haven't been able to find one that does zigzag!

Hmm at a bit of a cross roads as to what to do then as I played around with making the buttons and logo smaller last night but the text on them became really hard to make out so I changed it back. Might just remove the photos from the main page so it all fits on the one screen, the different sections will need to be longer lengthways though as I'll be putting a fair bit on there?
