  • off topic i know but princess k is off to 4 parties this weekend so i had a trip to the local toyshop to buy presents and wasn't sure how much to spend iyswim . I bought some fairy barbies 8.00 instead of 18.99 and some aqua sand playsets 6.00 instead of 12.00 . but how much is it normal to spend ? we used to spend about £5 but it's 14 years since the twins were that age lol. I don't want to appear stingy or like we're showing off just that we've made the effort if you know what i mean. Okay even i think i've lost the plot now.

I usually spend £5ish, but to be honest it depends how well i know the child. If they are friends rather than accquaitances i would go more toward the £10 mark. But if i was looking at a Barbie that was meant to be £9.99 but when i got there it was £4.50 i would still just get that. IYSWIM. The trouble is you don't know what they already have. But what you have brought sound a good option. You have got some bargains there! I think those presents would be much appreciated.
  • oh i didn't do too badly then .lol. Thank you. I couldn't believe the price of some toys my jaw was scraping the floor.

I'm getting very tempted to join slimming world . I've just had a look online to see my nearest ones . I have got an awful lot to lose though.

hello its me rushing through, can I please go home I want to craft I want my bug and I want my papers:)
I know now why God stops women having babies at mid age its to save them from raging hormonal teenagers in their later years. twin 17 year old girls and we have another 2 weeks yet:eek: time for the cycle to begin again.:eek: I love them to bits but I am slowly loosing my sense of humor. Rant over:rotfl:

i did buy a little kit to make some basic cards but then I realized I have no corner cropper, tweezers, poky tool, craft knife, cutting board etc.etc.etc. it is suprising just how much equipment you find essential when you dont have it to hand.

I only have the laptop for a few min just now but wanted to say well done to our winners, welcome back to Mellissa and hugs to the poorlies.
....... show me the way to go home I am tired and I..........:rotfl:
