i do find most doctors to be really difficult to get appts with..i think you have to be a certain type of argumentative person to work on the reception at a practice, as all three practices which i've been with have been like that. uni one was the worst. they forced all students to register with their local practice, but had two nurses just for students, and if you needed an appt, you couldnt' see one of the doctors, only one of these nurses, who were usually only allowed to give phone appts. usually only available a couple of days later. not good.

Vicki, that sounds delicious! I have a slice of yummy ham, some mixed spinach salad and some home made potato, spring onion, apple & chive salad. Yum yum yum - I love summer food :)

Oh me too! That reminds me I must make some pototo salad too, the shop stuff is so lardy and nowhere near as tasty. I make a mix of extra light mayo, yoghurt, mustard and water which is a great base. Have chives and mint outside too, that would be a lovely side for our dinner tonight with salad and some chicken I think.

yum yum vicki, have just eaten yummy (ish) sandwich of avocado and brie, with a little bit of light mayo...the bread was from frozen though, and never seems as good as fresh, i just can't get thru a loaf before it goes mouldy, even a mini loaf ;(

daisy, i hope you're ok xx

Hehe, I did that too. I think my feet have shrunk now though so I don't think I can get away with it :(

Daisy - keep us updated hun.

Char - can you use rolls or make your own in small quantities? I know what you mean about defrosted bread, it's not that nice.

i think my feet have shrunk too, but i dont understand how, as i have definitely not loast any weight ;( but a lot of the shoes which used to fit, are now too big..grr!

i've tried rolls too, but they don't seem great in the freezer eitehr..i guess i should make my own, but i never seem to have enough time to be organised lol..

i need to factor in making cakes to bring to work on fri, and with guides tonight, coffee tomorrow morning, ice skating after work on wed, friend for tea thurs, i'm not sure when to do that! maybe tomorrow after work, was hoping to get to the gym, but i guess i could do my food shopping dfor the party / weekend early..also need to get to the cinema to buy the tickets for my bday outing lol, at some point..but that woudl pre-suppose that anyone is actually going to make it, after persuading me to have a bday party ;(

Oh I can't eat defrosted bread, I don't mind it toasted though. When I worked I used to take pitta bread quite often as I could toast it from frozen and make a sandwich type thing in the pockets. Aldi do some really nice wholemeal toasting muffins that are longlife and sold in a 4 pack but with 2 in each compartment so you can open 2 at a time. They're a good cupboard standby.
