I'm not sure I ever want to purchase really. It's never appealed to me. While i'm a student there won't be any money to save anyway. I will probably change my mind at some point but heyho, i'm only 19!

Oh Tea, I hope you don't think we're being too stern with you.
We're only trying to offer the benefit of hindsight and being old (sob!). If you've weighed up the finances and what you want and this place does it for you then I'm happy for you hun, I really am. xx

I'm glad i don't live down south! Im paying £500 (well me & OH are & splitting it) for a 1 bed flat. It's steep compared to some houses round here (we could probably rent a 2 or 3 bed terrace for about the same but we like it and the smallness makes the heating cheap.

vicki the apron is very cute. Looks like you're getting your moneys worth out of the new machine!

I shudder to think of how many thing's I'm going to have to make before the machine has paid for itself, but it's a nice hobby to have and I do enjoy it.

looks like you have a talent for it too :)
The enjoyment must be worth a few quid :P

I find it a bit frustrating how making things can work out more expensive than buying them, especially knitting. I'm inspired by your duvet dress, would love to learn how to sew properly (maybe a project for this summer)
