I tell you, this leaving someone to stew over the weekend, after the dramas over it last week are just ....not very nice.
DH and I were talking about new things and DH is going to struggle a bit...he's only been used to money saving since meeting me really, hes loved the last relaxed year. There it lots we'd like to buy at this moment (nd strangley it seems there are antiiques fairs on everywhere this weekend putting temptation n our paths!) but we're trying to reassure ourselves that having our own stuff back will be as good, or in many ways better than buying stuff we don't already have attachments too.

That's exactly what I meant the other day when I said it was a game of nerve!
These times are just horrid and it's practically impossible to push the thoughts out of your mind, I know, but distraction and mindless occupation (not easy in the circumstances) should be your friend atm.
The desire to spend is related I'm sure to your frustrated desire to nest with your darling OH. You're right to hold fire, apart from the money factor, there's far more lasting satisfaction and sense in acquiring beautiful things when you know their exact situe and context.
Can you find some music appropriate to your mood and absorb yourself in that for a little while?0 -
BTW, has anyone looked at the revised site format? It's linked on Martin's posts on several boards. I must be blind or thick or both or something's up with my computer, cos I can't "spot the difference" at all and posted as such , then felt a real divvie as everyone else is posting about the improvements and obviously seeing something totally different!!!

ETA oooops....just answered my own question, I am a complete divvie. Why didn't anyone on that thread tell me....mean lot!0 -

Eek, I am struggling today. I fell asleep for an hour at my grandparents
Best friend was with me, so at least they had someone to talk toBest friend = beyond awesome, she bought me epic amounts of Starbucks instant coffee "for being brave yesterday".
I picked up one of the £6 dresses in New Look, they had some other cheap basic ones in too but most were quite bodycon style.
I got the jade green and may well pick up a nude one too, though I seem to own a lot of nude.
Sooo comfy, and a real bargain. Not sure I'd pay £12 for one though!0 -
Afternoon everyone!
Gym was good. It's ladies only and quite small, so prefect really. There isn't macho men and people aren't trying to impress anyone. My fitness levels are awful and i'm sure I wont be able to walk after work tonight! But they have fitness plans and personal trainers so I'm really excited.
DB - the £6 dresses look lovely. Is it good quality? I meant to have a look in today but forgot.0 -
Yeah, it is good quality, especially for the price!0

Oh I'm glad it's good tho daisy, popped into new look after being a little disheartened by not meeting best friend, bit didn't see any. They did have some pumps like the floral ones I'd tried to order, for £6 but only in polka dot which I didn't like so much.
I did get some £6 bargain peep toe flats in a kind of metallic bronze colour from peacocks, to replace my pumps I threw out last week after the gig.
Ad I got the green lace dress in order to try the length but I have a feeling it's going to be too shjort.
An some charity shop bargains, which I will blog post now I have my camera back
and looks like I wasn't the only one in a rush, but we ended up leaving late and the bus driver had to refuel, so we are well late, still on the road :-/
I'm so tired my eyes and head are in so mch pain!
lola, bday is 29th I haven't given it much thought yet.0
