OK, I recognize this is contrary of me but while a year ago Dorothy and Alice etc wuld have appealed a lot, the dorothy craze over Christmas and the Alice stuff now...puts me right off. I'm more likely to wait till the craze dies down, buy stuff in a sale and not where it for a couple of years, when everyone else is bored or forgotten about it. I love the nudes and ballet pinks around ATM..have some stuff from ''last time'' but it doesn't fit atm, I'd wear that now if it did, and lay down now's stuff in sales for next time, or in between times.
I kind of hate being ON trend. I'd rather be behind trend than on trend, and in the old days I used to keep well in front of it....;)0 -
I'm fairly lucky with shoes vicki, most pairs fit ok. I have pretty much 'average' feet (width wise). I think we're probably popping into Brighton over the weekend at some point so I'll have a nose in Primark then - TBH the store scares me though - have you ever been in there at Xmas time ! I did and it put me off for life hahahahha. I've been to more civilised jumble sales ! lol :rotfl:
Having said that though, I do love their stuff :T and DDs always come home with some lovely things from there when they go shopping.
magype, appreciate your comments hun, I'd much prefer people to be honest with me, especially since I'm still learning ....... however, DDs 'pixie' comment was a tad below the belt yesterday.
I'll need some help at some point with the teal tights from you lot !:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -

Hi all, I've not had time to catch up yet.
I've just got a mac in the post that I bought on Ebay but I think it might be a bit too adventurous for me now I've tried it on.
How can I show you a picture of it?0 -

LiR, I take it you are talking about Polanski; that is/was a shameful farce, and I decided in future not to support a lot of actors who spoke out in his defence (not that it will bother them I suppose!)
I have resisted the siren call of more shoes and instead dropped the money on Etsy. At least I'll be supporting artisans instead of big business. :-/
daydream, show us the mac!"All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -
