I seriously cannot find a jumble sale in my area. Where have they all gone? Nothing advertised in the local papers, nothing on the church noticeboards and nothing on postcards in windows. I asked my sister to let me know the next time her church has one, and she said it never has them! How bizarre!
Anyway, rant over. Afternoon girls, another lovely day. Did a little bit of charity shop trawling at the weekend, and picked up a couple of 70s handicraft books, a cream & black floral cotton skirt and a beautiful long green velvet wrap skirt.
I was so excited to find the velvet skirt, because I remember my friend buying the exact same one for her brother's wedding in a tiny boutique in Newcastle that's no longer there. Must make it nearly 30 years old!
Currently wearing:
ancient long paisley coral skirt with bead fringe (Tesco)
white tshirt
even more anciet red leather clogs0 -
Hello ladies
Vicki - the strapless part of the dress wasn't the problem, it was one of those dresses with a sash at the bust iykwim so it all felt a bit maternity, I love it but feel uncomfortable wearing it, so it's prob got to go
Char - well done on the carboot, I don't have enough stuff for a carboot neither a car lol but I like the idea of one. Having said that I think I'd prefer being a buyer than seller, the idea of my stuff going for pennies makes me feel a bit ill, i'd rather spend the time ebaying.
Today I am wearing a pair of wide leg blue jeans £1 (carboot), 99p black topshop vest ( new from charity shop), 50p stripey jersey cardi (table top sale), a pair of black leather converse which were boyf's brothers now mine and floral silk scarf £1.99 (charity shop). All second hand stuff today total cost £4.48*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
Ah I know what you mean, I am wearing a dress today that I feel a bit like that with, bit it's so comfy. With my circle of friends everyone is on the look out for the next one to get pregnant again and anything remotely floaty always starts the rumours flying lol!
I've just bought a table and chairs on ebay to sand down and paint up and am ridiculously excited. It's about 1/2 the size of our current table so the extra space will be so lovely.
PF, that is so sweet of you. What's in the parcel?0 -
Evening,
Got caught in a torrential downpour on the way home - not sure my soggy leopard print pumps will ever be the same again!
Just had on a black long-sleeved T-shirt and skinny jeans today.

Oh me too lost. I feel so guilty that I haven't sent mine yet. That's it. I'm doing it tomorrow. My clothes are rubbish too as it's so hot I'm tempted to go all rudey nudey!
I thought you'd been a bit quiet and wondered if you'd been cut off already. How's the move going?0 -

Its all getting a bit hectic. Birds keep geting in to the new house, and no one s there, so they are getting trapped and dying. The agent at least understands I have no desire to move into a house that reeks of decaying flesh in the heat, or to dispose of dead birds while trying to sort stuff out. The lawyer sent the paperwork here, but it got here yesterday...when dh was already back in London, so I have to go in to London tomorrow, I struggle in the heat so dreading that.
We're really behind schedule, a big deal of DH's is closing early, and it demanded his attention most of the weekend, when we should have been packing up grrr. One of the cats is pretty miserable...they have moved a lot and know he drill, an are really adaptable, but this is most certainly the place they have been most and the place they love most...its been the only place they are allowed out alone. I've packed oddly...I've packed my clothes, and spare handbags...keeping a really wintry one out, an most of my shoes  but not my jewellery or make up...even though its to hot to wear any of it.

Hello everyone. What lovely weather it is. I hope it stays nice.
Had an amazing time at Hard Rock Calling (I think I called it Hyde Park Calling before, I was so tired!) Was so hot I got ill during Stevie Wonder but at least I had the VIP toilets to throw up in! Sunday was possibly the best day of my life and i'm so in love with Paul McCartney, what a legend. I just can't get over how fantastic he was.
Will post outfit pictures later, I just got in from work but came on to work on a design for my next tattoo (Beatles themed)
