^ what she said!
I just think men are generally a bit rubbish at compliments when it comes to clothes (or at least the ones I work with are!) The current thing seems to be "oh you're looking well" ie you aren't so humungously fat anymore...
You got the translation a little wrong I think. My guess is it might also translate as..
''are you seeing someone...or can i sk you out or a drink''
''You are looking fantastic but I can't say that because its not appropriate in the work place''
or
''I'm really getting a little nervous of you when I wasn't before, because I've just realised how cute you are.''
I've experienced it the other way round...I have became invisible to men and lots of my old friends.0 -

Nice post, I know how you feel Lost. You can stand there and agonize........

Oooh the sun has popped out from under the huge blanket of cloud! I'm getting so stressy about the picnic event next week.
I have 3 sewing projects to finish and one that I haven't yet started.
A whole heap of paperwork to get sent back.
I need to get hold of some cheap green tablecloths.
Ahhh so much else to do.
Also I need to work out some way of making my hideously bright and massive pink polo shirt look vaguely attractive. The colour totally washes me out and just does nothing for my delicate colouring. How vain does that sound lol!0 -
Alex, you are looking good, I think Lost is (as usual) right!0

Afternoon beauties!
What a gorgeous day, hope it's going to be like this for Glastonbury next week, we'll be travelling down there this time next week.
Had a walk into town and a tazz round the charity shops before the NZ match kicked off. Vicki - Poundland have green and grey over-the-knee socks at the moment, don't know if that would do for your fancy dress outfit?
The man with the second-hand shop had sorted me out some heavily sequinned and beaded Indian cotton blouses and a Rajathani mirrorwork maxi skirt today so I'm just trying them on.
Just time to take some eBay photos before Portugal -Ivory Coast game kicks off, I'm obsessed with the World Cup and have been since the West Germany competition in 1974.
Mum and Dad married on the day England won the World Cup in 1966 and when they were on holiday in Tenby in 1968 I toddled off down the beach and got rescued by Geoff Hurst...it must be in my blood!0 -
Afternoon ladies.
I haven't posted in ages but I have been lurking (and trying really hard with my wardrobe!!)
Feeling quite chuffed with my outfit today as I was chatted up and also mistaken for a member of staff in New Look. Jeez anyone would think I had made an effort or something!!
Was wearing.
Smart black 3/4s - River Island (way long ago)
Nude 3/4 top - Dotty P's
Black waterfall waistcoat - Dotty P's
Black high heels - New Look
Also dug out my jewellery so was wearing my engagment ring, wishbone ring and links of london bracelet (with only one charmmust buy more but they are so expensive!!)

I'm loving the world cup too - my claim to fame is that my grandad is Gary Lineker's second cousin :rotfl:

H&M seem to have a sale on just now. Got a pink sequinned jacket that I've had my eye on for a while. Would never have bought it at £30 but it's half price so £15 isn't bad.
Pics in the usual place.

I've tried that on and it's not very nice - the top bit is weird and the colour is a bit deadeningThey have a cute navy bird print one though which is a lot nicer
