tired mum... tell them you'll do something different every now and again to stop you from getting bored/confused/making mistakes. Not like you'll stop work, but just look at something different, tidy some papers etc. I was once asked this in an interview and said the above (well, a bit more coherently!) and they said later it was a good answer and just what you're supposed to do (I got the job!). :j

It all depends on whether you have control over what work you're doing at any one time, I guess. That job I had gave me a set number of data entry type tasks to do each day (as well as answering the phone) but I could choose which order/when to do them, if you see what I mean. This meant I could swap between them if I was getting bored, take 3 minutes out to make that phone call, tidy and file all the papers of data I'd already entered etc.... you get the idea.

Super good luck for your interview :T :D

Lots of positive vibes coming your way! Having interviewed people I think that its good not to be arrogant & come accross like you know it all, its OK to admit that you're nervous (interviewers also get nervous if that helps!!), come accross as enthisisatic. If they are negative on the mundaness how about trying to turn it into a positive & say you thrive on routine, are a reliable individual who would not enter into a contract lightly; you appreciate the disruption caused to other team members by staff changes, as well as the cost of training you on the company? Not sure if prev job was v stressful but could say that you would welcome more of a balance in your working life but are a committed member of staff, being less stress enables you to support others?...Main advice is take deep calming breaths befor eyo go in, take time to answer the questions, if you dont know be honest & say that you would ask that as a training issue, try & think of some training that would help you develop (ie getting more computer training of that would enhance the role you do & help to improve efficiency/systems) but most importantly be yourself!! Big hugs & feel free to ask specific ? from the other side if that would help? Would help to know what job description, role is (is it just date entry?)...

How about putting the onus on them?
State you really want the job, you love inputting data, and ask in their opinion, what tasks would they recommend you do to alleviate the boredom, as you are willing to turn your hand to any task.
