telewest gits-default problem

Ive been given a default (£63 outstanding) by Telewest which i discovered by chance during a credit check. I want to clear it and i blame telewest as i hadnt recieved any of the bills they are claiming to have sent.
Any idea's on what to do next? Telewest have advised me to speak to the debt recovery agency who i also have recieved no correspondence from. Im worried that they may have added charges and i might be faced with a large bill and headache if i contact them. :eek:
Telewest's response:

I have just received a default from telewest because i moved address. Before i moved i told them i was moving and gave them my new address, i also asked them was there anything else to pay, they said no.
A month later they put a defult onto my credit file as i owe them £34.00.
Any advice would be great also on what i should do with this0 -
