I have been contacted by a company called Debt Matters who are offering me an IVA to sort out my debt. Has anyone heard of them? Any advice, good, bad or otherwise.
Thanks a lot, appreciate it

Did you use a debt charity, like the CCCS or Payplan to seek advice on your debts. You should never pay anyone for the advice. You can get the advice free.
Post an SOA (incomings and outgoings) and we will see if you really need an IVA or we think you could do a DMP.

Hi
You need to speak to one of the debt charities, who offer free advice. See here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/debt-help-plan#help
As a rule, IVAs are only appropriate for a very small number of people. You certainly should not be setting one up unless a debt charity adviises that it is the best option for you.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
