Venue capacity and lax invitations

We set up a private event on facebook, and set it up so nobody except me and DF could see who was going and we disabled the message wall and photos. As long as people know they can't just turn up without letting you know, it's fine IMHO.
With catering, we've been told to cater for 80% of expected guests, I'm quite relaxed about it. I know we won't run out of food because of the numbers we've invited and the venue will put leftovers into doggy bags for the drive home the next day.0 -
We've got a secret facebook group for people to suggest songs for our DJ, but they're all people we sent postal invitations to anyway.Married Ajichombo on 17th April 2010 :j0

I would just send an evening invite to everyody in your facebook group. A wedding is an important affair and i'd probably be unsure about going to one that was sent to me via facebook - would maybe feel like I was a backup guest cos the couple couldn't get the number they wantedHad a thrifty wedding 17-06-10
