If you are planning to get a mortgage you must have a considerable deposit saved - if so, pay off the cards, rent for a while and put the card money towards increasing the deposit. If you haven't got a deposit (we were told we would need £36K for a £200K mortgage) then it is very unlikely you will secure a mortgage. You may need to look into this.Ebay challenge 2010 - £525
