Don't be fooled by Tesco

Tesco currently doing whiskas cat food pouches for 2 packs of 12 for £6 (this is a long term promo) but they have some on the "end of the aisle" on promotion at £2.50 per pack of 12, which a lot of people will want to jump on.
Look closer
2 for £6 24 pouches at 100g per pouch
£2.50 per pack = 85g per pouch
Works out as near as dammit the same price per 100g, the £2.50 pack is minimally cheaper £2.46/kg from £2.50/kg for the other promo.

good point Wig, but also fat cats (mine just back from cattery loads bigger) who could do with a diet would benefit.
Yet another examply of slyness from Tesco. We consumers have to keep on our toes.0 -
Had to ask a staff member about this one last week as it was stupid. Neither item on special offer.

what about the fluctuating price of basics shortbread. Wasp went up to £1.29 ( 1033% increase ), came down to 29p then back to 9p and today its gone up to 29p again. This has been all in the space of less than 2 weeks. What are they at.0

since we are talking about Mr T's slyness, here's another that has been going on for the past few weeks.
Hovis whole meal bread is £1 each or you can save loads by buying 2 for £2. On the plus side, I wonder if Mr T is trying to teach our little ones how to count. A fair point, right? ;-)0 -
That £2.50 Whiskas is the new simply range. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2282859&highlight=0

Not on the same item but you also have to watch out for other items. The larger ones are not always cheaper. They try to confuse you by marking them i.e.
£1 per 1k
15p per 100g
Take a calculator with you if you cant work it out in your head!I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
