Paying CSA

Hi,
My OH's maintaiance has just recently been calculated and they have decided that we should pay via transcash weekly,
now given that we both work full time its oing to be quite difficult to get to the post office on a weekly basis! however I don't really want to pay them by direct debit as I do not trust them not to change the amount and not tell us
so my main querys are
1)Can I just pay this via internet banking using the details on the paying in slip
2) will it confuse them if I send 4/5 weeks in 1 go?
I would call them but my OH is working away and they won't talk to me:mad:

Only two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help?

It's unusual that the CSA should only give you this option. Usually, they try & go for Direct Debit.
Personally, I'd set up a standing order for the day after your OH has his wage paid into the bank. Remember, if he pays monthly, he must multiply the weekly amount by 52 & then divide this figure by 12.
Keep the CSA informed of your actions & follow up any phone call with written confirmation & keep copies of all documents. Send everything at least recorded & preferably special delivery.
When I set up my S/O, they told me to use my CSA reference number & add 01 to the end of it.
I don't see any reason this would not work for a bill payment on internet banking, but I would double check with them.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)

It might be helpful for your OH to ask the CSA to put a note on his file saying that you are allowed to deal with them - we have done this as my OH is away too sometimes and it makes life a lot easier, it means I can answer queries and ring them myself over things if my OH doesn't get round to it!0

I asked for a voluntary deductions thingy so that it comes straight from my salary before I see it.
My employer is a large public authority who needs to send the CSA the money by the 19th of the following month from which its taken.
No problems with my employer not passing on the payments, might be more problematic if one works for a smaller employer. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0
