    Aren't there always £19 rooms available? I'm looking at Luton travelodge for early October, and I'm getting quoted a £19 double or family room now - and October isn't in the £19 dates as per the email, is it?
  • I have to say im really impressesed with the rooms,if your savy with money then i dont think your the type of person to winge and moan...i'v now had my 6th trip around the south of england,and i have 4 children,so i just book 2 rooms.i usually go for hols in a caravan jus as good an nice hot power shower(some rooms are better than others )

    here are some tips;

    1)Know where you want to go in advance,if there is somwhere you always wanted to visit check they have a hotel in the area.

    2)if they dont look surrounding areas.

    3)Know your dates...and go staight to them,get in 1st!

    4)book a family room even if its just for you it dose'nt cost any more,an from my experience someone always want's to tag along.if its just you then you just get a lot more room with a sofa to relax on!

    5)Reserch the area before you go,i looked at places to eat for the best deals,look at their menu and pick out what best for you,and if they deliver to the hotel.Print off vouchers for 2 for 1 meals or any freebee's...and if you want to have a day out look on line for 2 for 1 tickets and their own special offers..I saved a small fortune with 6 of us!

    6)Get telephone numbers and post codes(if you have sat nav)I got lost going to a museum,i had the tel-no. so i rang them and the post code on the net was incompleat so she gave me the rest of it.got there in 1 peice!!!

    7)If there are a lot of you going prepare in advance eating out costs a lot so make sure you take,cup a soup's,pot noodlles,cereal(buya pint when you get there),desposable bowls,plates and cutlery,bottled water(they dont say if you can drink from the bathroom tap but i would'nt risk it!or no cup of tea or coffee for you in the mornning!)food individually wraped so not to waist food,make sandwiches and anything else you can think of?You dont want to get a room for £9-19 just to spend a fortune on food!!!

    8)RELAX!iI even booked a room to do a bit of shopping,im disabled so i dont get out much so i miss out on all the bargins,so i booked a room in swindon so i could go to the oulet there,i phoned in advance to see if they have any electric scooters...and they did and it was free!FAB!!!I couldnt believe that the mobility was across from the hotel too!I cant drive for vey long so to be able to aford a room so im ok to drive home is great for me!

    9)It's good to visit family and friends that live far away,that hav'nt got room to put you up.

    10)ALWAYS RESERCH THE AREA BEFORE YOU GO!I even found an ikea round the corner from the hotel,free tea an coffee weekdays cheap hot food and even a chreche for the little ones if you want abreak!!lol

    HAPPY TRAVELING,im booked up the whole year,so im all good!
  • I'd add check what the parking situation is for the Travelodge you've chosen. Often there is no car park or you have to pay and it can cost nearly as much as the room.
