I have no problem with him charging fees or the other brokers who don't...it's their choice, their business model. What I do have a problem with is when Conrad tells posters that the broker they're dealing with is useless or they should get rid of them/criticising L&C for offering insurance products etc...so someone reads that and thinks oh I won't bother if a mortgage adviser says they're only after commission he must be right so I won't bother with insurance!!
It is highly unprofessional to continually criticise others...particularly when you're only a gleaming a snapshot on here as to what people want to disclose of their circumstances....
Regarding "the forum and or Conrad has been about for a while, are you suggesting because of this I can't voice my opinion.....I didn't realise that privilege was reserved for existing members only ?! or what they posted had more relevance than others!0 -
Wind you neck in Vigilant, I was just replying to your statement:
Conrad repeatedly posts re' advisers and insurances....however at his own admission on other posts he charges fees when arranging mortgages...!!.but I haven't read any fee free broker "having a go" at him...He has demonstrated he as a choice how he operates as do other advisers/companies...
Many fee free's have had a go in the past, I was just pointing out that this does not happen as much as times have changed.
I did not suggest you could not express your opinion, cant see how you got that one, just stating a point.
It would be silly for anybody to make a choice based on anything within this forum. Let alone ditching your broker, although in this case I think he had a point.
This is a forum and without opinions it is nothing, however some people think there word is better than others, you just have to live with it?!?!?!"Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies." Thomas Jefferson
