Breaded fish fillets- best deal?

Every Fri i serve breaded fish and chips and mushy peas...

I generally use tesco fillets which are 4 for £2 (50 per portion) asda are same price, ........

Anyone know a better deal without really for fitting size of fillet as they are small as it is...........

I rarely get to morrisons or aldi (tesco and Asda on way into work route, and work 8am to 9pm generally......)but could send the oh on a mission if i know that is worthwhile

  • Last week in M & S I got 2 boxes of 6 battered Scottish haddock fillets at £3.99 each or 2 for £6. I thought that a good offer as it works out at 50p per fillet. Plus it's quite nice too, though not very big pieces.

  • I'm fairly fussy about fish, but after a recommendation from my mum tried Iceland's own brand jumbo fish fillets in bread crumbs (they do cod, haddock and sole) and they were really lovely, and huge!

I've just bought Farm foods haddock to try at £2.95 for 6 big fillets but I also had one of their £2.50 off when you spend £25 so saved a few more pennies.

Haven't tried them yet but they look OK (are in a bag not a box so you can see what you are getting.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

  • I'm afraid I can't remember, but they can't have been more than £3.50 a box as I don't have a huge food budget. But they do normal fillets as well as the jumbo ones and those are cheaper per box (but I had a look at the weights as well as the number of fillets before deciding which ones to try).
