CCA returned not supplied, advice needed

I sent a CCA request to all my creditors about 10 days ago. A couple have come back quite positive saying they are trying to obtain it and my account is on hold in the meantime.
However, Moorcroft have sentback a letter with my £1 postal order saying they have approached their client who is Egg and they said to obtain a copy I have to write to Egg?
Is this correct or should Moorcroft have to supply it?
Thanks for any help

Hi,
I'm not 100% sure, but I think Moorcroft have to supply it as they now own the debt. I too have an Egg account, but mine has been sold to Cabot. I have just sent the 1st CCA letter to them & they have returned my postal order as they say they don't need it. They also say that they will endeavour to get the CCA from Egg.
If you're in any doubt whatsoever, look at never-in-doubt's unenforceability thread - there's not much he doesn't know about CCA's!
Hope this has been some help.

Moorcrap MUST deal with your request, write back quoting:Is this correct or should Moorcroft have to supply it?
Section 175 of the CCA 1974:

Where under this Act a person is deemed to receive a notice or payment as agent of the creditor or owner under a regulated agreement, he shall be deemed to be under a contractual duty to the creditor or owner to transmit the notice, or remit the payment, to him forthwith.

Hi
I have had the same issue with Wescot and in the time I took to write back to them, the debt was shifted to Allied who have done exactly the same, returned y request and postal order to me and telling me I must write to to RBS directly but in the meantime I must contact them to prevent further action being taken......what do I do?0
