How long does your DD have between getting up and leaving the house for school? Neither of my two can face food when they first get up, so I get them up earlier, to give their heads and stomachs time to get used to the idea. They are up at least 90 mins before we leave the house in the morning, and they manage to eat a good sized bowlful of cereal/porridge or a couple of slices of toast before they go to school.
Can't say it suits me particularly, but they do need a good meal inside them for school, especially as the most important subjects - literacy and numeracy - are in the mornings when they need to be able to concentrate on work, not their empty tummies.0 -
Not wanting to sound like a cereal ad... but if I didn't get 3 (!) weetabix in the morning, I'd be feeling really sick by school lunchtime. For some reason they were the only thing that hit the spot until lunch. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Just found this thread myself...and hoping for more recipes/ideas:)
I shall be trying that muesli bar recipe in post 2 (with butter instead of margarine and deleting the sugar altogether).:T0
