Watch out for FreeMesa.com... there is a 'sneaky cost' involved in registering with them. I've just tried to sign up with them, thinking it was a site you could recycle your unwanted gear through... but as part of the registration process it asks you to confirm your mobile number... this then results in you receiving a message which asks you to text 'yes' as a reply. It all looks like you are confirming registration to FreeMesa.com... but you are actually about to be charged for something. In short, they emptied my mobile phone credit... and I have a horrible feeling, it is not the only time they will do this.
Does anyone know how to stop them?

My son once emptied his phone credit by texting a subscription service that he saw advertised on tv. He thought he was only getting a game and that was it but they were taking £5 a week from him! Anyway, I rang his network operator as he had deleted his sent messages so I couldn't trace it and they gave me the companys details and told me how to stop the subscription.
Maybe you could try this approach? Hope this helps, good luck!July- coconut body shop body butter, pom bear football, mini johnsons lotion, Sally Hansen nail treatments0 -
Hi - a while back I had something similar on my bill/statement (which is why I am always wary now of giving out my mobile no.- I was charged for incoming texts I did not want/did not know I would receive).
I rang my service provider to find out what the charges were for - they were very good .. they identified them, put a block on the number, told me how to 'stop' the messages by text and 'wiped' the charges from my account once they saw they were coming from 'the other end' and not them.
May be worth querying/explaining - you never know, if the charge is not from them, they may well reimburse your credit.
Thanks for tip/advice and good luck!0 -

I really think these adverts need to be much clearer about the weekly charges, not just have it in small font size at the bottom of the screen.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740
