in Loans
Hi to everyone,
We need a loan of £6.500, we asked yes loans, they took there £69.50, agreed a loan in principle, they then put us through to somebody else who said we can have half the loan with a guarantor, we declined, we were told that we would get our money back, we have written to them asking for it back, not heard yet..
Anyway fast forward today, a company called creative finance called today and said that the loan had been passed, all he needed was proof of address and proof of earnings from us, he told us that it was a 6.2 apr with no fees to pay, also no redemption fees if we wanted to pay up early.
We asked why it seemed so easy to get a loan with them, he replied we just want to help you.
My question is what is the worse that could happen if it is that easy with them.
Has any one heard of them and had any dealings good or bad with them.
Thanks in anticipation.

Is it a secured loan?
Are you sure its 6.2% ?
A dodgy sounding finance company offering unsecured high street beating loans... something will be wrong.0 -
baically no-one is lending at 6.2% APr for un-secured loans0

Creation Finance handled our kitchen 0% deal through Focus. Had no issues with them at all, everything was black and white and nobody put a foot wrong for the whole term. They even cancelled the DD on our account without prompt when the last payment cleared, a novelty I have yet to see from other lenders. They have an online system so you can see remaining balance and payments etc. Not sure about how they handle missed payments as we had none but I do remember seeing some sorta admin charge if you wanted to amend the bank account/date on the DD which I thought was alittle cheeky (should be a free service as it costs nothing to alter a mandate, infact it shows good customer care). They do ring from time to time offering us more credit which can be annoying if your busy when the phone rings.
They are a pretty big company who handle store cards, loans, car finance etc not some back street money lender. But as with all financial agreements, default and feel the wrath of the gods. I have seen other posts on MSE where people are in a horrible mess with Creation and are been chased by collectors etc, but you will find that with all loan companies IMHO.Credit card and overdraft at 18. 2 loans and 3 storecards at 20. University education flushed down the toilet through debt at 22. Car finance at 23. Car repossessed at 24. Rock bottom at 25. Learnt my lesson 26-33. Now 34 with a mortgage on an affordable house, a car paid for with cash and a bank account in credit. I learnt the hard way.0 -
My car payments are with creation, all fine at moment! If your lucky enough to be irish, your lucky enough0
