I rvisited this site, and I have a question, how can you send a short text message to an email ? that does not make any sense ?

Am I missing something ? Why would I want that ?

you have to register and the person you are sending it to has to also be registered, and then it finds their number through their email.

i registered to goodtext wen i saw ure post yesterday.. havnt used it as yet but wot i thought was that as long as the person ure sendin a msg to is registered the msg will get to them... the person sendin the msg doesnt hav to b registered...

The system is different in this case as you register your self on the site and can give your email address without giving out your mobile number you just give your friends the link where they dont have to enter your email address or mobile number nor have to worry about registration to send u text, just click on link enter message and bingoo, so simple... in short you can give your friends / publish on your blog the link and tell them they can contact you via sms through this page....

eg. http://goodtext.co.uk/?to=myemail@wtevermail.com ( here you can enter your email and give the link to any of your friends)

Excellent explanation SM.I use it, it works well. As you of all people might have guessed i heard about on the Superb https://www.niftylist.co.uk .

Thank you now I got a better understanding of how this works, used it, it works although there is a delay of maybe 20 secs until I get the text to my phone.
