Many thanks, there are a lot of properties near me I can't usually afford to take DD to :-)

Thanks for telling me. Now I'll know which days to stay away from National Trust properties since it's always a mob scene on free days. No parking, long queues at the loo's, and everyone is giving each other dirty looks for being in their way. No thanks!

Must say I've not experienced this.

I'm guessing you are using Firefox. It doesn't open PDF's.

Try using a different browser. I use Firefox and pdf’s open OK.

Let's hope the weather is nice on the day..... as most of the properties also have lovely gardens to visit.

Teddyco - I can't say I've experienced the mad rush - it normally gets very busy during the summer weekends anyway.

If you wanted to join the national trust, the offer on their web site at the moment is better than the 2 months free they are offering on that weekend. You get 3 months free, plus binoculars if you just go via their site or plus a veg growing kit for kids and a cool bag if you go via the netmums link. Its £63.38 if you pay by direct debit for a year - thats for a family membership.
