creche whist shopping?

Hi everyone,
I think this is the right section
I was thinking today about opening a creche in our local shopping centre for parents to drop of there child whist they go shopping.
Do you think it would work?

Does anyone know where i would begin in finding out info?
I have been searching google just looking for a bit more help and advice
Think i will pop upto local council also

Many thanks

  • I don't have kids so can't say whether or not I'd leave them with a company in a shopping centre.
But I suggest you do some market research. Questionnaires etc. Find out what people want, what they are willing to pay. It may seem like a lot of effort but it will help you understand what yours customers would want if they want it at all.
Also see if it has been done in other places as this will give you a good idea.

I think for it to be in a shopping centre then it is a good idea for you to see the council. There are so many regulations to do with childcare etc. I know you must know that with wanting to open a creche as you will have that experience behind you.

    I wish you good luck!!

There are three shopping malls near to me that have one of these. They all seem to be full whenever I pass so they must be bringing the money in. From what I can see through the windows it's a lot of ball ponds and bouncy castle type beds.

No disrespect to Cards, who posted above, but my experience is that once you get bogged down in all the paperwork he is suggesting you will lose enthusiasm (as well as the will to live)
