Hi all, we have been in our DMP since the 1st of Jan with Payplan they have contacted all our creditors & sent them the offer letters. How long does it usually take for the creditor to agree or regect the offer?
We are being hounded by calls which i know is to be expected but RBS have phoned me 10 times today
hopefully the calls will stop when they agree? or should i say if xx

You can force the phone calls to stop, read this post from top to bottom - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=11571485&postcount=4
It usually takes a few months by which point a majority of creditors should have accepted. If they don't they don't, you can't force them, but since the DMP is all your available cash they are unlikely to get a CCJ so it is in their interest they accept a DMP.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

It does usually take a few months for things to settle. Creditors like to see regular payments coming through.
Mine took about 5 months for the whole thing to settle and for the last creditor to finally stop.
What I used to do was to speak to each creditor once, give them my CCCS ref number, tell them that from this point on there was no point in entering into further conversations with them as they could see that they were getting all I could afford and that their calls would go unanswered but their calls would be noted and complaints would be issued as necessary. I stuck to my word, and reported them - they soon stopped after that.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Where's the letter that tells them to stop or you will complain about harassment.
Of all my debts the smallest one by far with the Coop is the one that keeps calling me.
An automated voice calls me 3 or 4 times a day, they can't even be bothered to get a person to phone me.

Thank you all, Thewad RBS is an automated caller, when i pick up it says 'please press any key to continue' i just hang up. If they cant get someone human to speak to me im not going to bother x"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad."0

It can be months. At work we've found that Barclays/Mercers are the worst. I finally got an acceptance for a client last week. She came in and we sent the offers in October.....Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
