Hi Andrew,

If you book at least 90 days in advance for a minimum of 5 days, you can get great discounts on bhx.co.uk website.

If you are planning to stay overnight, Novotel and Ibis hotel guests at the airport get great discounts. I think this arrangement is quite recent as I had to pay the full price last time.

i found it just as cheap to book hotel/ guesthouse with parking and transfers good if you have a early flight. try www.fhr.co.uk and cashback from quidco, or holidayextras as well.

I have also gone the hotel and parking package and simply asked for a discount and got it. Do some googling and find out who their neighbouring hotels are and mention their names when you ring up to book. I just said I'd prefer to use them than their competition so could they offer any discounts please? The result of this simple request was my bill for a room for one night before my flight, 8 days parking and then a room for when my plane lands in the early hours on return, was dropped from £170 to just £120 for simply asking nicely. Give it a try and if they don't budge, politely say you'll leave it for now until you've given their neighbouring hotels a call but don't hang up to give them a chance to change their minds and possibly make you an offer.
