We're getting married in October and everyone keeps asking how the wedding planning is going, and well I haven't done anything yet?! It's low budget and we are saving up so have no money yet to actually DO anything?!
My mum is more or less paying for the ceremony reception night do etc, we're responsible for dress/rings/suits etc

Have you booked a church/registry office or venue to hold a civil ceremony?
If you have, then you have done something!
If you haven't then I'd get your skates on, otherwise you might not get a date you want.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
yeah all that's sorted, i mean other stuff like dress/flowers etc...
I think I've been speaking to some bridezillas, one girl got me panicking saying she'd been for her hair practice the other week....6 months before her wedding...0 -

That's a bit early for a trial! It's longer than 6 months too! I'm having one, but not till we get back from our hols at the end of July.
My OH hasn't got his suit yet and I've still got to get my daughters bridesmaid dress.
I have my ring, OH is paying his off.
Have you been looking at dresses yet? So long as the ceremony and venue is sorted, they are the main biggies!immynjoesmum wrote: »getting married the same day as you actually lol
Cool lol!! If anyone asks how the planning is coming along in future, just smile and tell them it's coming along just fine!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I keep getting from the dress shops .... "oh you really need to get your dress ordered... only 6months to go you're pushing it slightly"
The end of the day, I will get my dress when I find the right dress!! I'm not being pushed in to anything I don't want!!
So far, the ceremony, reception etc is all sorted.
I've tried on several dresses, but not found the one (yet)
Invites have gone to the printers (my uncle!)
Bridesmaids have been asked.
Groom has decided on his outfits, he's just gotta to sort out getting the best price.
We have a meeting with a potential photgrapher on 8th March.
I've started looking at bridesmaid dresses and got an idea what I'm after for them
Booked my hairdresser
think that's it for the time being0 -

The dress shops will tell you that, as if you do go for a dress from a shop, they can sometimes take upto 6 months to come into the shop once ordered.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

I'm thinking of getting my dress from one of those chinese companies that makes replicas can only afford about £200 for a dress.
