Grr to Santander! Gripe about being charged to change loan payment date

Options
:mad:I am really annoyed with Santander - I have a car loan with them, which I have just started paying for. When I tried to change the date of the month that the loan comes out on, they said it would cost me £25 to do so!
This is ridiculous, I have changed other payment dates elsewhere and have not been charged.
I am already paying interest, and have paid a "credit facility fee" and a "completion fee" totalling £300.
Is there any way around this?

    Yes, don't change the date.

If you don't like the fees charged, don't take the loan.
  • to be fair - they do state that there is a charge for date changes on their website as well as in the terms before you sign.

So you're suggesting that every company prices every aspects of their service identically?
