What shall we do?

Hi there,

We've been thinking about our debts alot now and after speaking to OH's mum who has just finished with Payplan, we think a DMP would be a good idea for us, we just about manage to make the minimum payments on most of the cards but get caught in a spiral of missed direct debit charges and late payment fee's!

Now with OH only getting £123.06 (MA) a week this is approx 2 days wages, We are really going to struggle.

Everything is going to change soon with regards to tax credits, with her income dropping, plus the new baby so we think we will wait to do anything untill all our income is settled and we can see where we are.

I wont post up an SOA just yet as its all such a muddle but our debts are basically the following:

CC1 - £1000
CC2 - £500
CC3 - £250
SC - £1100
OD1 - £1900
OD2 - £1000
OD3 - £408
Car - £5k ish 2 go
Family £4.5k
BNPL (laptop) £800
OH's Social fund loan - £266.?? (from when she was SM on IS)

:(

No doubt I will have forgotten something! were also a little behind in our concil tax! But this will be back on track after payday so i havent counted it in our debts list!

I earn £18k pa + OH's £123.06 pw + will be when no2 arrives £33.20 in CB and were not sure about WTC & CTC yet!

If anyone could give us an idea of what we'll get TC wise - OH was on 16,500pa that would be amazing! Entitled to confuses the heck out of us as OH was on IS untill 08.07.2009

we've tried that but its all over the place with figures because of the dates of 08/09 income then being on MA!

Latest figures told us we would get £89 pw WTC, £106pw CTC £33.20pw CB, £121pw LHA & full CTB.... With me earning £18k I dont think thats right! However if it is, why on earth the missus has been going out to work full time I dont know!
