Hi
trying to work out if it is worth continuing the policy below:
We have an endowment with Friends Provident taken out in August 1997 to 2015. The cost is £164 per month
Target amount is £56,000
Life Cover of the same amount (not really required)
Estimated growth
4% - £38,700
5% - £41,800
8% - £47,2000
22.2.2010 - Current Value £24,291
22.2.2010 - Surrender value £25,034 (terminal bonus abut £900)
It is invested in
Managed Fund (accumulated) units (AMC 0.75%)
With Profit (4) units Nil AMC (unitised with profits)
I can make 2 fund switches per year free of charge
So any thoughts on this on keeping this goinf would be welcome
regards

The bulk of the charges are now gone and the FP fund range is 0.75% (Except the WP fund which is within the fund). So, you have a pretty good range of funds at low cost and life assurance.
The unit linked funds could be used and its still possible that this one could get back on track. Although its unlikely if you stay on the WP fund.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
