Firstly i would say why do you have so much in a current account? your first 3600 of each year should be going into a Cash ISA and the rest into the best saving account you can find. As you are looking to buy there may not be much point in this now but you should do this in future with your savings to get the best out of them.

Secondly, if you have 300 on your credit card why would you not pay this off?

Im not too sure how the ccj will affect you but in general first time buyers will be able up to 4.5times their salary. To get the best deals usually around 25% deposit is what you want but this may be out of reach. A 10% minimum deposit is usually required.

My advice would be to talk to a broker and see your options (usually initial advice is free but confirm this) and they will be able to give you a better idea of what you can do in your situation

Is this an 'I' purchase or a 'We' purchase - if so what is the other deposit. Don't go in on unequal terms without a proper legal agreement.
