Nightmare!

I had a nightmare last night about the wedding!

It was the day of the wedding, I was at the hotel ready to go in and found myself...

Wearing black shoes, which could be seen as my dress was only to my ankles.

Wearing a hat, like a bloody victorian mopcap (I even said "oh my God I forgot my tiara!!!) with all my hair scraped up into it.

A strap had snapped on my dress so I just tucked it under my armpit to hide it (my dress hasn't even got straps?! :rotfl:)

I had no bouquet.

I had no make up on.

Me and Dad started to walk and after 3 steps we were at a table, where a man was standing and the bible was on the table.

Dad looked at the bible, touched the cover, knocked on the table 3 times and made the sign of the cross (bear in mind this is a civil wedding) :rotfl::rotfl:


Funniest bit was the cake.

In my dream my Mum had arranged to get it made for us.

It was lovely, everyone commented on it and when I asked Mum how much we owed for it, she said £700 :eek::eek::eek: bearing in mind our budget in real life is only £250!

I was sooooooo upset, crying, with snot and everything, asking Mum !!!!!! was she playing at, that we couldn't afford to pay it.

She kept looking at the cake, saying but look, isn't it so pretty!!

I could have bloody throttled her!

Ummmm Shell! No, no and no!!!!

I am no dreams analyst but I would say that you are just having the normal wedding worries and they are playing on your mind!!

Had to laugh though sorry!! .... what I really want to know though is, did you like the cake?

Dunno, didn't even taste it! It was ever so pretty, with all handmade sugar flowers on it, but I was going ape at my Mum saying "you couldn't even BUY them, you had to get them HANDMADE which you KNOW cost even MOREEEE" :rotfl::rotfl:

Bless you!!! I can picture everything you are saying in my head so it must have been a really vivid dream and to remember it like that is amazing!!

I really don't think you need to lose any sleep over it though!

I had to laugh at the vision conjured up by your dream...I shouldnt worry about it though I dont think that you will wear black shoes and have to wear a victorian cap.

Shame you didnt get to taste the cake though:D

I had a dream ages ago where it was the day of the wedding and when I took my dress off the hanger, I realised I hadn't lost the weight to get into it! :eek:

Cue looking for something white to wear, with my Nan asking me if I wanted to borrow a white smock shirt, !!!!!!?! :rotfl::rotfl:

I cancelled the wedding in that dream, OH wasn't impressed when I told him the next morning when I woke up lol

No, no cheese either! The black shoes were horrendous, they were like corrective shoes with heels :rotfl::rotfl:

I think your dream means...
You have a correction shoe fetish that you are guilty about and haven't told your OH! You wish you'd paid more attention in RE and history at school. And you think your mum is amazing... but feel you hadn't set your boundaries with her.
As for the make up and bouquet, thats because you feel so free and liberated on your wedding day, so you don't want to carry anything or cover your face.
And the strap... that's to remind you to take safety pins, pinned to the inside of your bodice - Just in case.

Actually, I think your dream means nothing, and although amusing afterwards sounds much like a pre wedding dream!!! It's like anything that is sooo important to you, and you are soo excited about! You'll be fine.
