Right ok, do all new builds require a 20% deposit?
... some require more. The more the deposit required the more the lender sees the property as a higher risk and expects the value to potentially drop (new build flats are as risky as it gets it seems!). Basically your deposit is the lenders safguard against falling value as in effect you lose your money first should the value drop.0
