    Having been at the end of a valuation which took less than 5 minutes, I am enlightened term of 'drive by valuation'

    I am starting to think they have some targets to hit, about 20 valuations per day!!!

    No. Don't see how you come to that conclusion

    well if our house if worth less then we brought it for due to the drop in house prices, we might not get a very good deal (worst case it's now worth around £110,000). doing the work would increase the value... I don't know, think I'm getting really confused now.

    also, not sure if this would make a difference to a 'drive by vaulation' but the extension work will be seen from the front (porch and part of bathroom).

    Maybe i'm best to discuss options with the mortgage advisor.

    also - I don't understand the LTV, surely if our loan is £115,000 and the value of the house goes up from £130,000 to £140,000 technically we owe less on the house then before...
