hi i recieved a default notice from one of my creditors last week ,then yesturday i recieved another one for the same account but diferent date on it ,can they default you twice for the same account .thanks:mad:

They cant record a default on your credit file twice. not too sure why they have sent 2 notices out - maybe just to be sure you got them?0 -
I'd look into that, there are some wierd technicalities that would make the default void and this sounds like the sort of thing. Stupid mistake on the part of the creditor. Try consumer action website(not spamming, presume its ok to mention other sites on here.)0

The other thing I do know is not to speak to creditors on the phone. They'll tell you anything on the phone. Write a letter maybe?.0

They can only default you once per debt. The default date is usually the date of the original default, but can be up to 6 months from this time.
