Well I had a e-mail from the dress shop apologising which I find to be really bad customer service, whats wrong with a phone call apology!
She didn't really confirm anything but basically said that they have 2 order forms showing it was ordered in the correct colour and that they have plenty of time to make a new one so not to worry!
This hasnt done anything to put my mind at rest as it is so non committal.
The shop owners response was that as it was still 9mths till the wedding they had just put it in storage without checking it Not a good enough answer!
To other posters who said about me seeming calm about it, I was but thats more because i was so gobsmacked that they could make such a major obvious error and not pick up on it!0

Oh what a lovely company! Definately do not let it drop, so what if there is 9 months? You have paid a helluva lot for a dress and you expect it to come in the right colour without driving many miles to tell them of their mistake!
It annoys me when companies think they can get away with minimal customer service! It is not on, fine if you paid peanuts, but you also paid for a service!
Sorry rant over, we all know it will be sorted, so know you aren't panicking but am on your side over the audacity of it all!

I guess they know they probably won't get much repeat business either way!0

Irrelevant. In this day and age shops rely on word of mouth, with bad reviews companies can lose business!0

It was a joke... I'm certainly not advocating bad customer service0

The only place I went to try on a dress the woman was so rude - she has a bit of a reputation for it though, thick as two short planks but has a posh accent and a condescending way of saying 'Do NOT touch the samples'. Cowbag. Anyway I love the dress and I could have afforded it but I thought sod them, I'll buy a car instead and I'll get it cheap off the internet. If they'd have been nicer I may have caved. Good CS for the win.0
