Have you heard of this site ???


Im sorry if im on the wrong thread!!

I have been looking for a new sofa for a few weeks now, and have come across a site called "starlight Furniture" They have a barcelona corner suite for almost half the price of Argos, so im thinking - Wow bargain :j
I rung them up this morning and they have said that they can make any sofa i send them a picture of and they will price it up and get back to me, I asked why they are so cheap, they just said that they are the manufacturer's for the larger stores, and i will be just cutting out the store!!
They have a 7 day returns policy. But i wondered if anyone had used them or heard of them, as it is a big purchase for me and cant afford to be "done over" lol.

Can anyone help with any remarks on them, good or bad please, Thankyou.

Never heard of Starlite, but for anyone else looking for sofas at the moment, I just wated to point out our experience.

I'm on the sofa hunt at the moment and found a sofa we really wanted in Russell and Dorrell. We wanted 2 three seater sofas and they came to £2,700. (in a sale)

I told my hubby I wanted to check on the internet before we placed the order and I knew the name of the sofa and the manufacturer of what we wanted as R&D helpfully had a leaflet with all the sofa details on it.

A quick google found a company selling sofas by the manufacturer in question, but did not list the one we wanted so I emailed for a price. About half and hour later we had a phone call and a quote for £2,000. So I will be buying from them next month. They are the biggest seller of this particular sofa manufacturer and the cheapest, as the do not do 0% deals, just good prices.

So if you do find a sofa in a store you like, it is worth trying to find out the model and the manufacturer and coming away and trying to beat the price with good old google. (I love the power of google)....

I will do what you have said, im probably being over cautious, but i find it hard to part with my money as it is.. lol

Hey, I stumbled upon starlite today ... have a look on ebay, they have just started dealing on there. They have no feedback yet so I too was a tad dubious. I was looking at the exact same sofa too

I was wondering if they make it in the exact same way or if they use cheaper products? If you look on ebay there are a lot of other companies that have 98%+ positive feedback who are selling the Barcelona for much cheaper than Argos if you're feeling a tad wary of starlite. Hi,

The contact has been very good with them, and they seem very nice. i have now emailed them a selection of sofas, and waiting for a quote on them. I hope they don't take to long as i do need one rather quickly!!!

They just said to me that they cut out the shop/ supplier and they are the manufacturer so can supply the sofas for a very cheap price.

I will post on here each time i get a bit of info from them, because it may be a genuine bargain, and i know we all love a bargain.

did you go any further with your dealings at all with the Barcelona, just stumbled across them too and am a bit hesitant.

Dont go near them. We bought a barcelona sofa and its horrendous. A year old amd falling to bits. Such poor workmanship. Never fit for purpose from the start. Are they still even trading as when i tried to look to complain i found nothing.
