Hi folks,
Wonder if you could help me? I joined a gym a while ago but my contract isn't up until December. Has anyone advice how I get out of this? I'm unable to afford the monthly fee of £32 (Fitness First) and anyway I run a lot now which is totally free
Your advice welcome.
Thank you

did you phone them and tell them you cant afford it? What did they say? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hello,
Have you tried having a word with them? I know it might sound obvious but if you explain that you cant afford to keep up the payments then they might either lower your membership to a different tarrif or even cancel it (you never know). I know most of these 'national' gyms make you stick to the contract but I'm also sure they do make exceptions based on managers discretion and personal circumstances.
Fingers crossed. good Luck

I think you need to speak to them as I am also with Fitness First and my contract is one you can get out of after 6months, not the full 12. would be worth a phone callNew surname New start!

Hi, I know that Holmes Place gyms allow you to find a replacement for your membership should you need to cancel before the year is up. Also have a read through your contract as you may be able to serve a notice period....
hope they are nice to you on the phone....good luck!Lightbulb moment: July 2006
