Allowing the public to buy back what they already own - genius :eek:0

Just goes to prove Cameron & Co either:
1. Have no idea
or
2. Want to line a bumchums' pocketNot Again0 -
If they really want to reduce deficit why are they proposing this and increasing death duty threshold0

Because they are going for the votes of the people who made money on the privatisation of gas, elec & BT etc.......
That's a point isn't that when this whole spiral of a mess started....

Decades might be stretching it, but I totally agree about the drip-feeding over a period of years. It's the least disruption to markets and likely to give the best return.0 -
Perhaps decades is a bit long, but I think it is possible that the government might own a large share of RBS in 10 years time. LloydsTSB ought to be pretty easy to sell off though.0

They haven't lost it ... they're just being what they are ... fat cats."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
Christ, the Tories really are devoid of ideas. Labour and Brown should be heading for wipe out in the GE, but the supremely weak Tories just don't have a clue at the moment. Cameron in particular has no balls whatsoever. He just tries to pander to every group out there, and will change or make up policy to reflect current affairs. Like what the f*ck is this 'People's Bank' crap???
As much as I absolutely hate this Labour government, I think I'll have to reconsider my Tory vote and just not bother.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Why would any sane person want families with just a few savings to own individual bank shares?0
