A Big Thank You

Hi all
i just wanted to thank everyone for all the advice and help ive gotten from the site.
i have been a long time lurker never had the confidence to post much before this week but have been pretty addicted to the site since i joined in 2007
back then me and OH had just over £65000 in unsecured debt and although we thought we were happy we now know it was false we lived life back then without a care buy what ever we wanted going on expensive holidays and living off our credit cards but then i started to visit this site and everyone her inspired me, everyone fighting and working hard to get out of debt so we looked at are debts and added them up something we had never done and OMG we owed that much for that moment on we decided to get debt free and to do it with out dmp if we could
it wasnt easy to cut back on everything i had got used to living with but was determined to get out of debt everything went to paying back our debt and i learned everything from this site i have sold at carboot and on ebay used cashback sites and every penny always went to paying off the debt
i would spend hours on here just reading peoples posts and stories and all the advice given
and now 3 years on our debt is down to £28000 and not only this but this week i began to give advice to others on here and it feel so good to give something back
so once again a big thank you everyone and well done to all who have become debt free those who are still on there debt free journey and to all the new people starting out on your journey

    well done!!
we had a similar amount to you and hope to be debt free this year, 7+ yrs after starting. It is a great feeling. I can still remember the stomach-churning-nightmare-starting-sick-making-sleep-sapping-argueing-HELL that being in loads of debt brings, and I am glad that you are on the way.

good luck with the rest of it all.
