My partner has just told me that I will have been at this address 6 years in April - does that scuppor my plans then? I got my dates mixed up.

Also, once I get on the E/R at this address will the debt agencies not just come after me again like they have recently, because they said that they only contacted me again because there was a credit search done?

Sorry for going on and on like this.

    Thanks

No just say you moved there in January 2004 instead of April 2004 :p:p

The DCA's will not chase you as after 3 years they usually perform an annual tracer check which is usually around the time they bought the debt (on the debt purchase anniversary so to speak). As you're well into year 6 chances are the records are well and truly dead. If for any reason you did get any letters, do not reply to them - simply post here what they say and we'll advise what to respond with (usually it will be a prove it letter - to buy time) then a statute barred letter (hopefully) unless you got your dates way wrong.......

Don't worry, obviously forget applying for a card right now, you need to get on the E/R - but bear in mind, cos you've left it so long it will be hard to convince lenders that you have been there so long, as far as they will see you moved there in 2010 as this is the year you'll be added to the E/R.

It may be best to wait another year or so before worrying with your credit file and applying for credit, at least that way you'll be 100% guaranteed all your old accounts are officially Statute Barred and also any defaults will have been 'dropped off' your credit file.

Hope the above makes sense - basically just get yourself on the E/R right now.....
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o
