NEED HELP PLEASE
i took out car finance in 2003 with a bunch of sharks called 1st response finance. I got behind with a couple of payments in 2005 and still owed 6500 pound so they slapped a charge onto my house and threatend to make me sell our home.
next thing i know a company called Marlin financial services (more sharkes) start ringing me and sending me letters about the charge on my property telling me that i cant sell my home without 1st paying them in full.
In 2008 we sold our house but was gobsmacked to be told that i had to pay Marlin and not 1st response the full amount even though the charging order was in 1st response name on the land registry.
Marlin had also added on another 2400 pounds ontop of the charge for good measure!
Can anyone advise me on if marlin are allowed to add on extra fees once a judgement has been made in the county court if not i want it back!
any help or advice would greatly appreciated.Cheers! Minsterman
